Over the last few decades, we have seen an increase in awareness of systems-thinking and sustainable development principles. Despite a growing interest in common ideas, organizations working within the development arena have yet to achieve common ground. The Growth Initiative seeks to establish this common ground between participants to realize the "real-world" potential of sustainable development ideals. We
are developing a new language
to define the development arena based on geographical and economic
terms, a new set of participation roles
describing complimentary and collaborative relationships and a new
knowledge-sharing portal that
leverages global perspectives toward local solutions. |
